The original leader of the Salem's Lot townships was named William Roland I, a noble and honest man who was a leader for the people. He was the husband to Ondina Ayers, the daughter of the King of Loris which was a neighboring kingdom. He fathered three children; two sons and one daughter. Their names: Henry, William II, and Abigayle.
In the time of harvest, on a night that the children of Lord Roland would always remember, a raven came to the castle of Salem's Lot with a message from Ozias Ayers, the brother to Ondina and present king of Loris. The letter told of a war that brewed between the kingdom of Loris, and the coven of witches that had lived nearby. Horrors of the battle were enclosed, including the death of Ozias' only son, Vaughn. Ozias being William's oldest friend, William jumped at the chance of avenging the loss of his family; his blood.
And so, Lord Roland rode to the Loris war camp; his oldest son, Henry, and 10,000 men by his side. This was the last time that the remaining children of William, and his wife, had seen either of them again.
When word had gotten to Salem's Lot of Lord Roland's passing, the townships had gone into mourning over the loss of their beloved leader. Ondina had plunged into a depression that could not be broken, and committed suicide shortly after her husband's and son's memorial. William II, known as Bill to close friends and family, had been thrust into Lordship. The cousins of Lord Roland I had flocked to Salem's Lot to assist the young Lord in learning to rule. After years of his education and experience, Bill had become the kind and compassionate ruler that his father was; the ruler that he had always aspired to be.
His sister, Abigayle known as Gayle, had become his right hand; advising him when necessary and being his comfort when he had none. Though a woman, she had poured over war strategy whilst her older brother trained to be the ruler he needed to be. She had trained with the Salem's Lot sword master to become a cunning and skillful warrior, who unlike her mother, would never leave her family behind.
With the two children of William Roland I and his cousins leading the townships of Salem's Lot, the communities had become unstoppable; their allies powerful and enemies fearful. Now, Salem's Lot is bigger than ever before, and still growing. The prosperous townships soon to become a kingdom.
